let’s say i’m just letting the kid in me speak on my blog. and i am probably very far away from the social norm. how does God USUALLY do things? i’m not really sure, you see. there are always people who say God did this and did that… no, i should replace the word God with Divine Power. there are so many claims these days. it could be a trend like UFO spotting.

so what exactly did God do, say in the case of miraculous healing? when it not unnatural or rare that physicians attribute morale as a key factor in recovery and having cases where the body reacts positively without any good reason (it’s just as often as complications.).

i used to read about a place beyond repentance where a person no longer experiences even the presence of God. it’s supposed to be a scary place that nobody wants to go. i think i am there. faith need not apply. you know, we can always say it’s God’s plan and stuff. i don’t know what i am typing.

in a nutshell, it is very, very possible that some things that we assume in life don’t exist. it’s just that we have been refusing to accept the fact that it doesn’t(?).

but somehow, religion seems to be the only thing on earth that can unify people. watch how Islamization takes place and the magnitude of it’s effect being reflected in actions. watch how churches grow. watch how people still engage in acts of worship when there are other more urgent things to care about. watch how the concept of “faith” is being defended across the world.

for mankind to progress, there must be equality. the basic needs of the world must be taken care of, such as food, water and shelter. society must mature to see a person as a voice despite race, ethnicity, beliefs. you know, no more “my mom said i’ll be kidnapped by the mangali if i am naughty.” or terms of “Chinese Pigs. why? they eat everything.” it’s very good to have a black american president (ok, half alright.). it really starts getting great when we have a 2nd or 3rd black american as president. or someday, a migrant (that’s how america started.) no more differences because of citizenship and nationality. equality for all. (oops, i forgot that God made people different. Islam and Christianity doctrinally conflict. for one to exist, the other must be fallacious.) the greatest barrier, is faith.

Faith are lovely people. (almost all the “Faiths” i’ve known in my life, as in girls, are commendable.) Faith at it’s most undesirable, is ugly. humans love to watch others die. that’s how the Crusades came about, the Ottoman Empire, Kamikaze Pilots of Japan. they are based on faith. the case of Nick Berg. sad one. the conflict in Chechnya where on one side they hold the Quran and the other side, they hold a crucifix while firing. it can be said that the acts mentioned are committed by the faithful. amazingly, when this statement pops up, people start talking about perspectives, motivations, taking verses out of context, and the “relevant”.

the explanation that i think answers all these is that, there isn’t any Divine Power. it would make perfect sense that the Crusaders did what they did based on the specifics that they believed in. that the extremists who did Nick Berg in did what they did because they were fixated on specific verses. that the “Iron Eagles” which flew into the World Trade Center did an atrocity that no nation was capable even at war. there is no longer a right or wrong but logical or illogical. we all do what we chose to do because it as the most effective way to get to what we want.

i can’t read a book that can be interpretted in a million ways. much less live my life based on it. much much less, live my life on a book that says right and wrong in a very unclear manner, that the people who are qualified to advice me on it say different things at different points of time (at this point of time, they would say Legalism.). it is more probable that such a piece of literature need not be taken seriously than to bend over backwards to help it make sense.

i need to distill my thoughts. i’m blabbering.

there is no doubt that religion is a great form of unity for humanity. it is the closest tool we have towards advancement for mankind as a whole. where everyone understand that they play a role to keep the whole thing going, that it’s the masterplan that matters.
