It’s almost 5am. I woke up at 12mn. The marathon in the morning really wore me out. My right knee hurts badly. =(
What should I talk about?
Does anyone have any idea how did the Marathon come about?
If you care to know, google “Pheidippides“. =) He’s a Greek soldier who ran from the Town of Marathon to Athens in 490 B.C. That gave the distance for today’s Marathons. 42km. There’s some giving & taking in the distance but, well, let’s all be generous. Apparently, he ran and with his final breath, shouted “Niki!”, which meant “Victory!”. He collapsed & died. He came with the good news of the Greek victory over the Persians. in 2004, the Athens Olympics had it’s Marathon on the same route as Pheidippides. =)
enough of random information, you know it’s good stuff.
