I’m not feeling shitty about the end of the year. Just that this line from a Fall Out Boy song’s really apt for the condition of humanity today.

I was educated on the effects of fossil fuels when I was 8. I’m 24 now and not much has changed. 16 years of apologies, I guess. Allow me to be passionate about environmental conservation. I still remember the days when I was in Primary 1. The weather was always a chilly 27 to 28 degrees centigrade. Today, it’s a good 30 degrees and up. Hardly do you not break into sweat in mid day. =(

How many promises were forgotten? The promise by world leaders to make a better world, the pledge of individuals to contribute towards the benefit of mankind. What can I do, today?

I had a nice christmas. A nice pyjamas party with the people that I love, a nice cherry tomato to make my day. =) A turkey that was half eaten. More than enough food to go around. I guess, I’m fortunate. I am fortunate. As I spend christmas, it wasn’t about Christ. It was about the people around me. Having a great time together. I can’t help but think of the people on earth who spent christmas just as another day in their lives, creating a means to living. I had the luxury of sleep. I had the luxury of NOT sleeping. Amazingly contradictory, don’t you think? Once again, I am awake at 4am to bring you this post.

What more is there?

Amazingly.
