2 plus on my clock. Seriously, haven’t been really sleeping. I guess that’s the joy of being on some sort of holiday. It’s been 3 years since I really had a break. I treated my cousins to a nice dinner last week. It’s been a really long time since I last saw them (what a weird thing to say about relatives, but, we aren’t really related.), had a fun time at NYDC Bugis Junction. Val, if you are reading this, where are my pictures? :P

Anyway, that’s my beloved brother, Kelvin, in the picture with me as well as my cousin Chun Boon and Emerly.

Looking like a dork was probably the way to go for me in the recent days. I just seem to let loose on everything I can whenever I am out of the uniform. Which explains my silly pictures.

Had dinner with Chris, JK and Carine today. Quite a far off idea. I’m starting the high life of just travelling to town just to have some Sliced Fish Soup (thanks to the stitches I still have in my mouth). As you can see, my face got bigger because my gums are still swollen. Quite a good way to beef up myself. Went to a pub called Gras at Aliwali St, which is near Key Point. Ordered a vodka lime but got a vodka orange. Downed it and went on to meet Samuel.

I got my camera back, which explains the pictures. It’s been a week.

Initially planned to head to Simpang for a while, we got to Thompson instead to find Wenqi. It’s been a really long while since the 3 of us really met up and talk about our lives. In the end, it was a BGR discussion. Oh man. Things have changed since I completed school. But then again, some things haven’t. -.- I’m having some events happening in my life. At the same time, I don’t know what’s right or not. I should really learn to flow. Better put my hands back to the key.

Think some of you will ask why am I in the same polo tee in the pictures. No clothes to wear already? Well, it’s a gift from my batch of officers in the 70/07 Officer Cadets’ Course. They got me a Fred Perry. I felt loved by them, it meant that I had played a part in their lives. Let me count. Today alone, 3 of my ex cadets (who are now officers), called me. I guess, I am satisfied to create an open environment and avenue for them to find answers. For now, I am spurred to do more for the nation and take my career to the next level. Creating better people for the betterment of the organization.

Gotta head back to office later to settle some administrative stuff, though I’m on medical leave. I’m not bothered though, I gotta get out of my house more. I’ll get to see the new cadets whom I haven’t seen in a while. Wonder if there will be any difference in them. I hope for the good. I hope they can download as much information from me within this time. I don’t have much time left with them.

I’m gonna catch some sleep. I’ll be travelling across the island a few times tomorrow.

To be chosen to lead is to be bonded to serve. Leadership is a privilege for a chosen few. In leadership, men are defined. In servanthood, men are refined.” – I just came up with it. Please feel free to use this quote with my name. Thanks.

Goodnight, Planet Earth.
