======================================

I guess a hallmark of soldiering is Spartan Living. it means having a very basic life, plain Utilitarian.

“i put on my clothes because i need to be warm.”

OR

“i eat because i need the energy to do stuff.”

a basic syntax would be, “i need THIS because i need to DO THAT.”

is was never a place where… “i put on this top because i want to look slimmer.”

OR

“i eat chocolate because i so crave it’s taste!”

Spartans have no emotion. Soldiers are supposed to have no emotion. hmm, wrong. Soldiers should be acting on logic and not let their emotions sway their decisions and actions. i spent 3 weeks plus in a foreign land and i looked around. observing the actions of people. some evaluate with logic. some with emotion. few act with logic. many suppress their emotions in their actions. some act with emotion. i felt that it was very hard to decide on a certain standard of a person’s mentality. or more accurately, to determine whether a person has good evaluation skills.

given a same set of variables, how would you consider a situation, in order to determine the SALIENT point? a bigger problem is often, what exactly would be THE salient point?

differing perspectives have been creating different evaluations, with each evalutation exhibiting a different degree of accuracy to meet the situation. and since it’s about people, i guess any organization would need to attract the right people first. that would be the problem.

many organizations take up 2 methods.

1. get the RIGHT people through stringent layers elimination.

2. get
WILLING people by offering remunerations and benefits and NURTURE them to the RIGHT QUALITY.

which one seems right? which one answers to the problem? which one is a more CORRECT methodology?

to ensure the Quality while you have few in Quantity or to achieve Quantity and produce Quality?

i have my own perspective (which draws much fire.) ponder on what benefits the situation, while i put my thoughts to words.
