it’s early in the morning and my mind’s a blank. i had alot to say last night but now, empty. i’m sitting in my office ready for work. thinking about if i should eat breakfast. waiting to make my first phone call of the day.

i’ve been shopping. bought a semi acoustic guitar – Takamine G-Series. Bought 2 watches from Japan. Tells time in weird, geeky ways. it’s so me! i’ll update with pics tonight. i did a logotype for DS. I had a great encounter with God.

i met my OC the other day. the first thing he asked was when am I converting to a SAVER contract. (which is till i’m 42). hmm, i just smiled. told him not so soon. he asked me to work hard towards it. well, it has been sitting on my table for the past half a year. i still can’t imagine myself as a Colonel 20 yrs down the road. i start to realize why do i so undesire to be a SAVER while others pray day and night for it.

the highest i can go is probable LTC, with a bit of luck and opportunity, COL. Minimum, MAJ. i think i began with the end in mind.

i spoke to a few of my colleagues and realized they just needed a stable career. i came to understand that, many people are working hard and leading really busy lives. they are doing all they can for their future. at least, they THOUGHT so. whatever we start, we gotta do it with the end picture in our heads. we only live once. so make the best of it. dun get so caught up with the menial tasks of running your day and earning your keep that you miss out on the finer things in life. when was the last time you sat down because you had nothing to do? (if you do that most of the time, that’s also not right.)

i guess we can help ourselves lead better lives. i read on Yahoo! that research shows that our brain reinforces what it does. you do something and you get better at it. that’s how we learn. when you do something wrongly and you dun correct it quickly, that ‘mistake’ gets reinforced, so you are more likely to make that mistake again. so, make an effort to live your life right. it’s good for you.

The fact that the SAVER contract is sitting on your table means you’re still considering whether to convert. LTC+ will be a good gauge, but if you really do continue, please fight for SAS and get a good degree before you continue with your military career.

I think it is hard to find passion, patriotism and responsiblity in our regular soldiers nowadays, perhaps my experience at division level has been really bad. My job before I ORDed a year back was to process sign on contracts, regular rankings and other manpower related issues, if you need more truthful insights to your ROA (the agency isn’t all that truthful sometimes), I’m available at all times for an old friend of mine.

sir, then like that uh, you must faster go in SOT la. my best friend is in SOT now, he tells me how awesome is it to be in SOT everyday. and why you go and get takamine? get a gibson or a taylor la. taylors are kinda rampant. get a gibson! hahaha.

Tagboards are so not cool. they’re quite girly. man sites only have comments.

Cool s*** that you got there… made full use of the PB…. anyway officer life in singapore isn’t the same as u wanna experience in aussie or us… so… can’t be a soldier involve in ground stuff all the time… what does this mean? get a life outside mate..
