it’s 4.13am and i can’t sleep. gotta wake up at 7. argh. and so i decided to blog after resting well for much of CNY. things worth noting this week…
a friend from very long ago decided to msg me after reading my Christmas Card for 2007. i felt mighty encouraged that, the relationship had some sort of restoration. we haven’t been talking for a couple of years. not even on msn. so, i hope there’s some form of reconciliation. God is doing a work in my life. i’m experiencing restoration in many aspects of life.
somebody came by and told me she understood what i meant by life would be busy. i just replied with a smiley. think i couldn’t say alot now that things have changed. that reminded me of “Time Goes By”, a song by “Every Little Thing“, way back in 1999 i think. pls do not be alarmed by the funny hair and outfit. it’s from last century.
an amazing thing about the PV was that it was shot without cuts. in other words, the camera was on a rig and shot through the same movements for each of the different scenes so that the footages could be composited into one seamless video. computer controlled i reckon. pretty much the amazement that i got after watching Cloverfield.
here’s the vid.
because of the nice guitar solo that i hear while viewing the vid, i shall learn to play it. right now, i’ve only done L’Arc~en~Ciel’s “Driver’s High” & “Link“.
i had very much needed rest after working for 363 days in 2007. 2008 is a time for me to focus on my long term goals as i am a year older? being 24 is kinda funny. neither here nor there. not old and not young anymore. in another couple of mths, i will be renouncing my service to the country as a regular soldier. i shall stick to my initial plan of 3 yrs in the force, no matter what is proposed to make me stay. i didn’t sign on for money, so it shall remain that way. i signed on because i was burdened with national defence. having been involved in creating almost 300 officers, i felt i had contributed well.
i’ve got a place in MOE. to be a teacher! but well, i dun feel that i wanna do that. lol. and so, i’ll forget it & let it pass.
after starting on the Rubik’s Cube for a mth now, i am proud to say that i have mastered the Rubik as well as the Revenge. Next up is the Professor’s Cube. I’ve began to time myself for the Rubik and my first try was 3.30mins with the second at 2.05mins. the guys at the world championships do 14 times faster than i can. at 9 secs and below. at 2.05mins, it’s around the top 1780 place in the Unofficial World Records. wow, i’ve got new bragging rights!
the Revenge took me about 1 hrs without seeking out algorithms. i’m glad my brain worked. as for the Professor’s, it’s starting to count in days. lol.
i bought a silly walking spring at Toys ‘r Us. haven’t really tried it. tell me if you know of some long staircase that i can shoot a vid with. i’m back into toys again. haha.
